Your Pedego is equipped with an LCD meter that monitors pedal assist, speed, odometer, trip distance, riding time, and battery energy level. To turn the meter on, make sure the battery is fully inserted into the Pedego and the on/off switch is in the on “|” position.
Press the power button (top button) on the four button selector located near the left grip on the handlebars to turn the meter on. You can adjust the pedal assist power level to have more power by hitting the [+] button (third button) and can move to a lower level power by hitting the [-] button (fourth button).
When not riding the bike, you can turn off the meter by holding down the power button (top button) for several seconds.
DEFINITIONS:
Throttle Override- Full power on demand. Overrides pedal assistance.
Free Ride- Pedal just like a normal bicycle with all the display features active.
Cadence Mode- Reaches designated speeds while pedaling.
Torque Mode- Proportional assistance based on how hard you pedal.
Travel Mode- Reaches top speed while pedaling.
Throttle Only- Full power on demand. No automatic pedal assistance.

LCD Display Meter Programming & Use
The LCD meter on your Pedego can be programmed to change various functions. Hold “SET” for 2 seconds to enter the setup interface. Single press “SET” to cycle through the following modes:
“SET 1” - Press [-] and the Trip will reset to 0.
“SET 2” - Set the max speed.
“SET 3” - Set the wheel size.
“SET 4” - Set the bike in either MPH or KPH
“SET 5” - Pedal Assist Limiter - on/off
“SET 6” - Throttle Limiter - on/off
“SET 7” - Torque Sensor - on/off
“SET 8” - Class 3 Mode - on/off
“SET 9” - Throttle Brightness
For “SET 5” and “SET 6,” turn each respective function to off to lower the top speed.
For “SET 7”, turn the function to off to disable the torque sensor. (Only applicable to Boomerang Platinum, City Commuter Platinum, Interceptor Platinum and Ridge Rider.)
For “SET 8”, turn off to disable class 3 functionality, and on to enable class 3 functionality. (Available on select models, ask your local Pedego dealer for more information.)
For “SET 9”, use numbers 1-5 to adjust the LED brightness. In level 0, the LED will be off. (Only applicable to Boomerang, Boomerang Platinum, City Commuter, City Commuter Mid-Drive, City Commuter Platinum, Interceptor, Interceptor Platinum, Latch, Ridge Rider, Stretch, Trail Tracker and Trail Tracker Gorilla)
Hold “SET” for 2 seconds to exit the setup interface.
Press the set button (second button) to switch the display information. The order is: Trip Distance (TRIP), Riding Time (TIME), and Odometer (ODO).
Press the power button (top button) once while the meter is on to turn on the backlight, as well as the integrated front and rear lights on the Pedego. Press it once more to turn the lights and backlight off.
Each LCD Meter comes with a USB port attached to the bottom of the meter to charge your mobile devices. Hold down the [+] and set buttons for 2 seconds to turn on the USB charging. Hold the same buttons again for 2 seconds to turn this feature off.
The bars are an indicator that displays the amount of power that is being drawn from the battery. The more bars that are displayed, the more battery power is being used to power the Pedego.
After 5 minutes of inactivity, the LCD Meter will automatically turn off to conserve power.
Battery Management System (BMS)
On the above models, the battery is equipped with a BMS (Battery Management System) with communication features.
- SOC (state of charge) percentage
- Number of charging cycles
- Current voltage of the battery
To cycle through the three modes, single press both the “SET” and [+] buttons.

- Press the power button (top button) on the top of the display located near the left grip on the handlebars to turn the meter on.
- You can adjust the pedal assist power level to have more power by hitting the [+] button and can move to a lower level power by hitting the [-] button.
- Clicking the power button after the system is turned on will turn on the light system. Click again to turn the light system off. Pressing and holding down the [+] will activate the USB C Power.
- Pressing and holding down the [-] button in Cruise / Torque Off Mode will activate the Walk Function.
- When not riding the bike, you can turn off the meter by holding down the power button (top button) for several seconds.

Meter Programming & Use (M500)
Settings Menu - General
- Trip Clear (Y/N): Clears the current trip.
- Throttle Speed (MAX): Adjust the max speed for throttle.
- Wheel Size: Adjust wheel size for Respective Pedego eBike Model to get accurate Speed Unit output.
- Speed Unit (MPH/KMH): Adjust between Imperial and Metric speed output.
- Throttle Function (ON/OFF): Turn the throttle on or off.
- Pedal Assist Mode (Cruise/Torque): Adjust selection for Cruise and Torque Pedal Assist Modes.
- Performance Mode (Mellow/Standard/Pedego): Adjust between Mellow, Standard and Pedego Performance Modes
Settings Menu - Advanced
- Light Sensor (ON/OFF): Turn the Light Sensor Function for the Throttle, Display and Front / Rear Lights, On or Off.
- Brightness (AUTO/1/2/3/4/5) LCD Backlight & Throttle Light: Adjust the setting of the Display and Throttle Light to Auto (to work with the Light Sensor) or fixed brightness levels 1 through 5.
- Throttle Light (ON/OFF): Turn the Throttle Light On or Off
- Auto Light (OFF/1/2/3/4/5): Adjust the Light Sensor sensitivity for the Front / Rear Lights Off or Brightness sensitivity 1 through 5.
- Battery (48V/52V): Adjust Battery Voltage to Meet Respective Pedego eBike Model.
- Drive Mode (Front/Rear): Adjust Drive Mode Function Respective to your Pedego eBike Model.
- Power On Password (Default=No Password): Set 4 Digit Password that requires input when turning bike on. To turn off password set to 0000.
- Menu Settings Password (Default=No Password): Set 4 Digit Password that requires input when entering the Setting Menu. To turn off password set to 0000.
